I was part of a core team originally dedicated to the development of the Netscape portal and browser. We also developed the social news site Propeller.com. Propeller.com is written in Python using the Django and jQuery frameworks. It is a highly available site that integrates with both Facebook and Twitterand provides a way for customers to submit, vote, and share news stories.
